Chilean walnut market at a glance, June 2021

The market has been really active in terms of commitments and the scarcity is palpable. Crop was shorter than expected originally, so had no growth from last year. Logistics has been affected dramatically but anyway, shipments has been good, what suggest us the potential of shipments could have been much more. Price adjustments continue and customers are taking longer positions gaining confidence on quality and possibility of a profitable season. Good quality inshell will be finished soon and kernel availability for the time being is healthy, seems it will be a short season as it was in 2019.
